WSC was awarded a contract by Bruce Power in 2017 to create Bruce B Unit 7 Models and support Bruce Power in the deployment of a new simulator in support of their life extension commitments. The starting point for the project was to first update the Unit 6 Models to execute under the latest versions of 3KEYMASTER Environment, Modeling Tools and 3KEYRELAP-RT. The updated and tested Unit 6 load were then used as the basis for the Unit 7 model creation using the latest 3KEYMASTER environment and modeling tools. With substantial involvement and support from the Bruce Power simulation group on the project, WSC was able to successfully deliver the Bruce B Unit 6 & Unit 7 CANDU simulators in 2018.
